Student Council Debate the State of the City
Last Monday saw ten members of our Student Council visit the newly opened City Hall in Sunderland. The State of the City debate, which was hosted by Sunderland Youth Parliament and Together for Children, saw students from across the city come together to debate the topics that are currently affecting our young people today. Our student council members had plenty to say and confidently offered their thoughts and solutions to the floor. Following the debate, our students took part in a vote to decide which topic Youth Parliament would focus their efforts on over the next year. Health and Wellbeing was the overall winner. Well done to our student council members that did a brilliant job in representing Southmoor and its students.
