Southmoor Academy is a very successful and rapidly expanding 11-18 school. Our Sixth Form has a focus on academic A level subjects. Applications are invited from colleagues who will teach within our highly successful MFL department. The successful candidate will have the ability to teach both German and French to KS4 and either to KS5.
MFL is a well-resourced area with French and German language assistants and a new suite of bespoke language learning classrooms. Both French and German are popular at GCSE and A level and are continuing to expand. 36% of pupils achieved EBacc in 2016 (far higher than the national average). MFL is a key driver of this success.
