To the Stars with Southmoor Scholars

Peter Swift from Durham University’s Physics Department visited the scholars bringing with him the University’s pop-up planetarium! Students learned about our galaxy, observed stars, constellations and explored the planets in our solar system. They were taught how to spot star clusters like The Big Dipper and even saw simulations of the night sky in the Southern Hemisphere.
