Heartstone Project Prowess
Pupils from Year 7 went along to Sunderland University with Miss Moody to present their work as part of ‘The Heartstone Project’. The pupils have spent time during lunch and after school creating their finished pieces of work which included interviewing local police and creating work based on images from our community. The exhibition focused on tackling issues such as racism, crime and community work. Pupils debated current crime rates in Sunderland and how we can feel safe in the community, whether that be at school or at home. Pupils were a credit to the school and presented their work to local councillors, neighbourhood police and even the Mayor! The feedback was that their exhibition was very powerful and thought provoking. Well done!
