The new academic year has seen an increase in opportunities for all students to get involved in competitive football.  All year groups from Year 7 to Year 11 have been entered into the Sunderland Schools’ Football Association leagues and cups!  The season has started in high spirits for our Year 10 team with a comprehensive 6-3 win over Academy 360 in the Cochrane Cup!  They are now on to the next round against Farringdon.

Elsewhere, we have an extremely talented Year 7 team which have shown excellent promise in their opening fixtures. A proud Mr Docherty watched on as his team took the lead against league favourites St. Aidan’s. Two excellent goals from Leo Harrington-Turp and Sam Ebdon were sadly not enough to walk away with what would have been a well-deserved point thanks to St. Aidan’s grabbing a winning goal in the last two minutes of the game. Onwards and upwards lads!
