Physics with Cambridge

Representatives from the Cavendish Laboratory in Cambridge visited our Year 8 students, and delivered a morning of physics fun. We started with a discussion of what physics is, and different pathways into science. The first group task was to design and build a lightweight crane to hold up to 1000g of weight. The second task required students to make their own spectroscope, and observe different light sources through its lens.
