This half term in Personal Development, we are delighted to have Sarah and Kerry from the Violence Reduction Unit, visiting our classes to deliver various workshops on topics that may impact our local community and some of our young people. Year 7 are looking at Child Criminal Exploitation and who may be targeted, Year 8 are covering Malicious Communications and the consequences of misusing digital mediums, and finally, Year 9 are learning about Knife Crime and the impacts on the perpetrator, the victim, families and the community. These sessions give students a chance to explore the topics in detail, learn about the legislation underpinning the crimes and ask questions to a trained and dedicated team.
