NCS Entice Year 11
On Monday, Year 11 had a special assembly with NCS to introduce this year’s NCS Summer Programme. National Citizen Service (NCS) helps 15-17 year olds build skills for work and life by taking part in new challenges and meeting new people. NCS away from home experiences are available from Sunderland. The experiences will help boost CV and college or university applications. Young people have a choice of dates available and should go to the NCS website to choose a date, choose an experience and make a payment.
The maximum cost for a young person is £95 and this includes all travel costs, accommodation, activities and food for the full five days. Students entitled to free school meals may be entitled to a bursary which would mean the experience could be free. For more information for parents, see this leaflet.
