All Aboard the Wellbeing Bus
The COVID-19 pandemic has seen an increase in demand and need for support for young people. However, there is currently a shortage in provision across the UK – with only one in three children and young people with a diagnosable mental health condition receiving NHS care or treatment. This week, the NHS ‘Better Mental Health’ team rolled into Southmoor in their very own bus. The team gave students all sorts of excellent mental health advice, using games to help build analogies for wellbeing as well as useful tips and tricks to help students feel better about themselves. Representatives from Kooth were also on hand to provide further guidance for students interested in maintaining a healthy and happy state of mind.
