A World of Choices for Year 9
We started the GCSE Options process with Year 9 students and parents/carers. This is a very important transition point in the education of a young person as they make a decision as to what subjects they will continue to study at GCSE. On Wednesday morning during an extended assembly, students learned more about the importance of making the correct decisions and how to also consider future careers plans and the implications of choosing certain pathways. On Wednesday afternoon, parents were invited to special Year 9 Options Parents Information presentations to learn more about the process and an opportunity to ask questions or speak to our Careers Advisor. Next week, on Monday 23rd, Tuesday 24th and Wednesday 25th January, Mrs Robinson, our Careers Advisor is available for telephone conversations with parents for guidance and support. These can be booked through the Parents Evening booking system, where parents can also book appointments with teaching staff for the Year 9 Progress Evening on Wednesday 1st February.
