Last week, students have been completing a nationwide ballot to find out the top issues that are affecting young people today. The Sunderland Youth Parliament delivered ballot papers to school and a ballot box. Students watched a short presentation about the major issues and completed a ballot paper to choose their top issue. The Student Council then collected the ballot papers which were sent to the Youth Parliament to be counted. We will find out soon what the most important issue is for young people in Sunderland. The Sunderland Youth Parliament will then debate these issues at the Houses of Parliament.
