Before half term, Year 11 Engineering students were invited to Sunderland College’s first construction festival. During the day the students had the opportunity to see the college’s engineering and construction facilities, which they could protentional use if they decided to go to college. Tthey met a range of different business form across the region, they were able to take part in tool demonstrations. Also, they took part in a speed dating workshop, that allowed them to talk 1-2-1 to 8 different companies, to learn about the skills and attributes required to do that job, they also had the chance to ask employers how they got to the role they are in today.
