Scholars in Search of Scholars
Year 10 students from Seaham School visited our Southmoor Scholars – they have been beaming in to our weekly lectures, and were excited to see the Sixth Form and meet other students on the programme. We continued working on study skills for the project phase of the programme, and learned about the importance of critical evaluation when using sources. We looked at how to spot academic authority in a source through a competitive game of Top Trumps, and analysed the pros and cons of using different types of primary sources.
