Students have been celebrating British Science Week, exploring the theme of Growth all while developing essential skills which will aid them in their future careers.

They have developed their listening skills through sessions with Roche, a large pharmaceutical company. Students investigated the way pathogens can spread as well the development of new treatments. They were aiming high as they completed posters to be entered into the national poster competition. Students modelled their own volcanoes as they investigated the growth of new islands. Students also used their problem solving and teamwork skills while designing their own eco farms with WWF. Pupils were tasked with evaluating sustainable farming methods which can be used to meet food demand for a growing population. There were also opportunities to research climate change careers to encourage pupils to aim high!
