Castles & Coastlines

On Friday, our entire Year 7 cohort set off on an exciting adventure — their very first school trip together as a year group, with Bamburgh Castle as the destination.
Set against the dramatic backdrop of Northumberland’s coastline, the historic site offered an unforgettable experience. Students explored the centuries-old fortress, delving into its fascinating past, before heading down to the nearby beach to take in the wild, windswept scenery — true Northumbrian weather and all!
Throughout the day, the group demonstrated excellent conduct and a real sense of curiosity. Their enthusiasm and maturity were a credit to the school, and we’re already looking forward to the next opportunity to take learning beyond the classroom.
