During half term, Mr Wareham was invited to a special meeting with Bridget Phillipson MP, Shadow Secretary of State for Education, at Westminster in London. At the meeting was a number of school leaders from around the country who were invited to discuss the current successes and challenges in education with the Shadow Secretary who is looking to put together the Labour education manifesto in preparation for the next General Election. This was a great opportunity for the school to be represented at a high level and Mrs Phillipson was keen to hear the views, especially as she is the MP for the nearby Sunderland South & Houghton constituency.
