Southmoor Academy is based in four main buildings: ‘The Old Block‘, ‘The New Block‘, ‘The Sixth Form‘ & Southmoor House.
| ‘The Old Block‘ contains our main reception, admin and leadership offices, main hall, reading suite, pupil reception, house leadership and Science, Modern Foreign Languages and Art & Technology classrooms. |
| ‘The New Block‘ houses our main computer suite, English, Maths and Humanities classrooms. The Drama and Music Department, gym and swimming pool are all attached to the ‘The New Block’, with our restaurant area located adjacent. |
| ‘The Sixth Form‘ Area is attached to ‘The Old Block’ but restricted to Southmoor Sixth Form students only. |
| ‘Southmoor House’ The original building on the Southmoor site, recently restored. Primarily used as an extension to the sixth form though other lower school lessons and events may take place inside. |
The main school yard is situated between The Old and New Blocks, with a special quad for Year 7 students located within the confines of ‘The Old Block’. The yard areas are gated at each end to ensure the safety and security of our pupils.
Pupils are required to enter and exit through the pupil entrance via the main gate before proceeding to their respective yards.
Visitors are asked to please enter through the visitor entrance at the front of ‘The Old Block’ and report to reception on arrival.
