A Delicious Maths Feast
Two teams of girls took part in the AMSP Maths feast competition at St Wilfrids school in South Shields. They were faced with a variety of challenges including estimating pi using a method used by Archimedes, a true of false round based on some given mathematical information and a maths relay race. Both teams performed well, with one team scoring 100% on the Archimedes pi challenge, beating all other schools! All pupils enjoyed the day, using their maths skills in a fun way and competing with other schools.
