Year 9 At University
On Friday, 76 Year 9 students had the opportunity to spend the day at Sunderland University. This is the third group of students over the last three days to have the opportunity to spend some time on-campus. This is part of our ongoing partnership with Sunderland University. The students walked to the university so that they can see there is a world-class university right on their doorsteps! At the university, students took part in a carousel of activities including a Skills Builder task, a Rocket Car task and a tour of the university campus. Students were able to discover what subjects can be studied at the university and see some of the facilities where you can study. This includes the world-famous medical facilities, the library and leisure facilities such as the City Space. All of the activities were led by Ambassadors at the university. Students had chance to ask questions to find out more about what it is like to study at a university.
