Last week our Art department borrowed a collection of taxidermy animals from Sunderland Museum to support Year 8 in their current Animals project. Over the next coming weeks, pupils will be learning the benefits of observational drawing from a primary source and will create a variety animal studies in their sketchbooks, choosing and exploring different media to create realistic texture using mark making skills. We look forward to seeing some of the creations yielded by focusing on these feathered and furry critters.
