Our new Year 7 students attended a special presentation to introduce to them two organisations that work very closely with the school. Sunderland Community Action Group (SCAG) provide many extra-curricular opportunities at lunchtimes and after-school. Every Tuesday, our school nurses are available during lunchtime to discuss many aspects of physical and mental health. It is a drop in service which is open to all of our students. Richie from SCAG was also introduced where he discussed the variety of activities that are available for our students during lunchtimes, after school and school holidays. These activities are exclusive for students at Southmoor and either take place in the Youth Hub (next to Performing Arts) or outside.
