We took the new Year 10 GCSE art cohort out on a field trip to Sunderland Museum and Winter Gardens. The pupils are currently studying Natural Forms and the trip involved exploring plants and animals within the exhibits, taking their own photography and completing observational drawings for their sketchbooks. Pupils also took part in a workshop where they were able to handle a variety of animal skulls, discovering the textures and anatomy of bones. The trip helped to inform their understanding of the project and hopefully inspired their creative processes and artistic outcomes!
