This week, we were delighted to welcome Year 6 pupils and their families to Southmoor for our special Transition Evening. It was a fantastic opportunity for students and parents alike to learn more about what to expect in September, meet form tutors and future classmates, and gain a deeper insight into life at Southmoor.

The excitement continued the next morning as over 250 Year 6 pupils returned for our two-day Transition Programme. Over the course of their visit, students from primary schools across the city took part in a full timetable of lessons and activities designed to give them a real taste of Year 7 life.

Following a warm welcome from Mrs Maw during the opening assembly, pupils explored the school, sampled a range of subjects they’ll be studying next year, and got to know their form tutors and new peers. We’re already looking forward to welcoming many of these pupils back for our Summer School in August, ahead of their first official day as Southmoor students in September.
