The Grinch came to Southmoor but, fortunately, instead of stealing presents – he was helping our Year 10 students raise money for ‘The Womens Refuge’ to help buy Christmas gifts for children who will be spending their Christmas in the Refuge in Sunderland. The Refuge is designed to meet the needs of women and their children at the point of crisis, providing emergency safe accommodation for those fleeing abuse. This year there are over a dozen children in the refuge, and we hope by raising funds we can help provide these children with suitable gifts and presents so that they can have as normal a Christmas as possible, as all children deserve. Thank you to all those that donated and helped Year 10 in their goal!
