Southmoor Stormed home with an outstanding 14 Gold, 10 Silver and 1 Bronze Medal at this year’s Sunderland Schools Swimming Gala held at Sunderland Aquatic Centre!

Students from Year 7, 8 and 9 represented Southmoor Academy in the Sunderland school games swimming gala competing against seven other schools. It was a very successful day as our students swam fantastically well reaching the finals in most races and picking up medals in both team and individual events.

All our pupils showed sportsmanship, great effort and support for one another and had such an enjoyable day. If you see them in the school yard, do congratulate them!
