Cadets from Southmoor Academy CCF have been shown the ropes at Sunderland Wall.
The evening session, which took place alongside a community Air Training Corps Squadron, allowed cadets to get to grips with the basics of indoor rock climbing, including: safety equipment, climbing techniques and even the opportunity to belay for their peers.
Over the next term, there will be many opportunities for our cadets to participate in adventure training such as climbing, mountain biking and archery.
