Social Mobility Awards Nomination

We are delighted to announce that Southmoor has been shortlisted in this year’s ‘Social Mobility Awards’. The Awards celebrate and recognise the forward-thinking organisations developing initiatives to promote social mobility, either within their own workforces or by influencing the debate from beyond their own walls.

Southmoor is nominated for the award of ‘School/College of the Year’ in this respect, managing to be the only school in the region receive a nomination.

We look forward to the awards gala on Thursday 10th October 2019, where we will find out how we did in our category.

The UK Social Mobility Awards is organised by leading Social Mobility charity ‘Making the Leap’ who have supported over 50,000 young people from disadvantaged backgrounds since 1993.
