Four Year 13 A Level Sport students from Southmoor Sixth Form recently organised a fun and engaging sports event for Year 7 girls. The aim was to encourage participation in extracurricular sports and inspire more girls to get involved in physical activity.
The event featured a carousel of three sports: pickleball, boxing, and hockey. Each group spent around 15 minutes at each activity, giving them the chance to try something new in a supportive and enjoyable environment.
The students worked as a team, each taking on different roles to organise the event successfully. They also promoted it using a TV slide, posters, leaflets, and a bulletin post, helping to build excitement across the school.
Overall, the event was a great success, with Year 7 girls showing enthusiasm and confidence while trying new sports.
