The Year 10 & 11 rugby team got our 2025/26 season off to a start on Monday evening playing at the new venue at Sunderland College. It was a difficult game against our usual rivals St Aidans. The Southmoor Team was depleted in numbers due to some injuries but those that were available still represented the school extremely well. The Year 10s need a special mention as they are making the step up to a mixed Year10/11 competition so are playing students a year older. On the night the team were defeated but showed good progress through out the game and a spirit that I’m sure will serve us well throughout the year.
