Raising & Giving Week

This week we held our annual Raising and Giving Week. All of the money raised this week is being donated to support the amazing work of local charity Red Sky Foundation. Everyday, tutor groups held fundraising stalls to raise money at breaktime, including the usual throwing wet sponges at the teachers, bake sales, basketball hoop challenges and more. On Wednesday, Sixth Formers led a ‘Just Dance’ in the hall. Thursday was our first ever Southmoor’s Got Talent show. This started with a preview in the main hall at lunchtime, followed by the afterschool event which was attended by parents, students and staff. There were many acts including singers, dancers, musicians, comedians and much more, all performing for a panel of judges including the Founder of Red Sky Foundation, Sergio Petrucci. On Friday, Sixth Form students washed staff cars and there was a 5-a-side tournament at lunchtime. The final total raised for Red Sky Foundation was £1900.

We would like to thank the whole school community for their generosity. The money raised will be used by Red Sky Foundation to purchase life saving defibrillators to be placed in key locations around the local area.
