A group of our pupils wrote their own poems to enter a national competition for Young Writers based around the theme of the environment. Pupils were encouraged to write a poem on anything they care and felt passionate about and some have been selected to have their poems published in a book! The collection of poetry will be published in January 2023 and pupils will be able to purchase a copy. All students will receive a bookmark and certificate and we will find out in due course whether any of our students have been named one of Young Writers’ favourite 5 poets who will win a trophy and £50!
