To celebrate the end of the sporting year, our Year 11 students hosted a Trust derby against their counterparts from our sister school, Sandhill View Academy. This was the last time many of our team members will pull on the Southmoor jersey to represent their school in competition before they leave us for their exams. Our lads had a wonderful and friendly game that also managed to be extremely competitive, so much so that at the end of play the teams stood equal with a 0 – 0 draw. This meant that the glory of winning the trust derby would go to penalties! After a tense shoot-out that went right down to the wire our lads pulled victory with the last kick of the ball! Well done, we hope everyone involved had a fantastic game.
