In the Know on the Engineering at Nissan

A group of Year 10 Engineering students were invited to Nissan. The trip was split into two parts. The first part was that students had a factory tour and had the opportunity to see the production lines where they make the Juke, Qashqai and the Leaf. Students had the opportunity to learn about the history of the company, how they manufacture the cars and the types of testing and quality control that is in place. In the second part of the trip students broke up into small groups and competed against other schools. Students were tasked with creating a rollercoaster in 30 minutes. Students were given ten pieces of A4 paper, a roll of tape and a marble. The aim was to keep the marble moving the longest. It was a delight to see that Kai Brown, Faith Napo and Flynn Anderson won against all the other schools and they kept the marble moving the longest! Well done, future engineers in the making!
