GCSE Results Day 2026

Year 11 Students Celebrate Excellent GCSE Results

Following last week’s fantastic A Level results, we are thrilled to celebrate the incredible achievements of our Class of 2026 GCSE students.

Results Day is always a special occasion, and it has been wonderful to see so many smiling faces as students receive the rewards for all their hard work. Watching our young people grow in confidence and achieve their goals is one of the greatest joys of school life, and we could not be prouder of everything they have accomplished.

This year’s results show sustained excellence across all measures. Every success represents the dedication, determination and resilience shown by our students throughout their journey at Southmoor.

But don’t just take our word for it. Watch the video below to see the excitement and happiness as students opened their results and celebrated their achievements together!

Our Headteacher Mrs Joanne Maw Said:

“I am incredibly proud of our Class of 2026. They have overcome challenges with determination, resilience and positivity. Their hard work has truly paid off, and they deserve every success that they have achieved.

It has been a privilege to watch them grow, both academically and personally, and to celebrate their outstanding results today. I would also like to thank our dedicated staff, whose unwavering support and belief have helped students achieve their best, and our parents and carers for their continued encouragement throughout the years.

We wish all of our leavers every success and happiness in the future, and we look forward to welcoming those returning to Southmoor Sixth Form in September.”

We are especially delighted that a record number of students will be continuing their education at Southmoor Sixth Form. They move on with strong foundations, valuable skills and exciting opportunities ahead of them.

Congratulations to every member of the Class of 2026 on your well-deserved results. We are proud of each and every one of you and wish you every success for the future.
