Careers Fair 2022

We held our biggest and most ambitious Careers Fair ever. As part of our partnership with Sunderland University, we were very generously given use of their CitySpace Sports Hall all day to host our Careers Fair. Students in Years 9 to 13 visited the university at different times during the day to visit the stands/stalls and to speak to all of the providers who attended. We were delighted to welcome nearly 70 organisations including many local & national universities, local further education and training providers and a huge range of employers representing lots of different sectors. Each Careers Fair started with an introduction delivered by local business leaders and former students of the school Graham Sleep and Howard McCain before students were given the opportunity to engage in conversations with the many providers to find out more about different future pathways available. We were supported at the event by staff from Sunderland University and University Ambassadors. We would like to pass on a huge thank you to all of the organisations who generously gave their time to spend the day speaking exclusively to our students and to the University for the use of their facilities and all the support with the organisation of the event. We received some amazing feedback from employers about how focused our students are on understanding their future pathways and how well they have developed their essential employability skills.
