Year 7 pupils got their hands on the free books they have ordered earlier in the year as part of the ‘Book Buzz’ programme which is something Southmoor has taken part in for many years now. Participating schools give their students the opportunity to choose their own book to take home and keep from a list of 17 titles. They are all carefully selected by a panel of experts to ensure quality, suitability and to encourage reading for pleasure. This year’s book buzz list was full of all sorts of different genres to appeal to all tastes and our young readers were certainly happy to finally dive into their new chosen favourites.
