We launched our A2L or ‘Attitudes to Learning’ initiative with Year 7, 8 and 9 students. The premise of the scheme is that teachers will enter a grade from 1-3 toward the end of each half term for each pupil they teach; (1) for outstanding, (2) for good or (3) for requires improvement. Scores will then be averaged across all lessons and each pupil will receive one of these grades. Pupils meeting certain criteria will then be able to choose a badge from a colourful selection of eight designs (see below) to wear on their blazer lapel. Pupils can collect badges each half term and add to their collection. We look forward to seeing students work hard to earn their badges!
