On Monday, our fantastic Year 8 Leaders attended the city-wide induction day at Silksworth Community Pool, Tennis and Wellness Centre, where they embraced every opportunity to develop and showcase their leadership potential.
Through a wide range of sporting challenges, they worked together to design engaging activities that tested participants while providing encouragement and support. They explored what it means to be an effective leader, discussing ways to inspire, motivate and organise others with confidence.
One of the highlights of the day was the challenge of creating an inclusive session based on the experiences of people with disabilities, which our students approached with creativity, empathy and enthusiasm.
Our Year 8 Leaders were a credit to themselves and to our school. Their positive attitude, teamwork and determination made us immensely proud, and we are excited to see them apply their new skills and experiences throughout the year ahead.
