Last week saw the culmination of our Year 7 & 8 netball launch with our team selection event. Our committed and enthusiastic players have taken part in training and match play and have shown a high level of extra dedication. This week they have been rewarded with a place on one of our netball teams.
Playing on a school team requires a promise to give up extra time and the responsibility to represent the school in the Southmoor way, so we are looking forward to working with our young players to travel to and welcome other schools in competitive matches. Our first matches are on Monday against a formidable visiting team from Ferryhill, who are excited and enthusiastic to be the first team to play against us on our home netball courts. We will wish them a warm and friendly arrival on Monday. Its all about to begin- Southmoor, Here We Go!
