Last week the Members and Trustees of Aspire North East gathered together to celebrate the remarkable commitment to governance by Dr John Brown. Dr Brown retired from his post of Chair of Trustees on 31st August 2026 after serving over three decades in governance. Dr Brown was initially a governor for Southmoor dating back to the 1990s before becoming a Trustee of Aspire North East. This is a remarkable commitment, and Dr Brown has created a lasting legacy both within our schools and the local area.
