In celebration of our annual World Book Day event, pupils were invited to follow this year’s theme of ‘Go All In’ and grab a free book from the English department in the main yard. KS3 pupils were also treated to dedicated one-off reading lessons across their subjects whereby staff and pupils discussed favourite books and read together as a group. Staff distributed book tokens which can be used in most local supermarkets and book retailers including Asda, Sainsburys, Tesco, The Works and Waterstones. We hope this year’s theme encourages our pupils to dive deeper into their passions — like sports, gaming, or animals—by choosing books that match their interests, making reading fun, accessible, and engaging. Pupils have until 15th March to use their book tokens and buy a book for just £1. Happy reading!
