Building Skills with ESH Group

We were delighted to host representatives from Esh Group last week in school to deliver a STEM workshop to some of our Year 10 Maths students. The workshop focused on Construction in the Curriculum and gave students the opportunity to see how Maths can support students if they wish to pursue a career in construction or the built environment. The Maths session focused on ‘A Day In the Life Of A Quantity Surveyor’ using a real-life scenario to highlight the importance of maths skills in a surveying role. Students could use real resources such as drawings, ‘take off’ sheets to see how to deliver a construction project against a budget. We would like to thank the team from Esh coming into school to deliver the session.
