We recently attended the annual Sunderland Young Achievers’ Awards at the Stadium of Light. It was an amazing evening, made even more amazing by students from Southmoor who swept the board with significantly more awards than any other school.
Congratulations to all students who picked up awards in the following categories:
– Southmoor Student Council – overall winner of the Student Council category
– Southmoor Anti-Bullying Team – overall winner of the Anti-Bullying Team category
– Hugo Haggerty – winner of the 8-13 years Sport Award
– Mohammed Nassir – winner of 14-20 years Sport Award
– Brooke Priest – winner of 8-13 years Service to the Community Award
– Joseph Gonzalez – highly commended for 14-20 years for Music and Performing Arts
– Mohammed Nassir – OVERALL winner of the whole evening, presented by the Mayor
– Oliver Graham and Liam Thompson – winners of the Service to the Community Award as part of the City Hospitals Sunderland Young Persons’ Group
