Congratulations to the Year 7 & 8 girls’ football team who competed in the Sunderland EFL Football Tournament. Players were outstanding and scored victories over teams from St. Anthony’s, Castle View, Whitburn and St. Joseph’s. With only the winner of the tournament progressing to grand finals in Wembley the game versus St. Bede’s was vital. Although we did not manage to clinch victory over a very strong St. Bede’s, our performances were not overlooked as two of the team were identified by Sunderland scouts as players that may have a future playing for Sunderland AFC and have been invited for trials. Well done!
