Year 10 students had the opportunity to take part in a virtual workshop delivered by Urban Plan. Throughout the day students were split into teams and took on the role of four competing companies who were tasked with regenerating the fictional town of Elham. Roles and responsibilities included Financial Directors, Head of Environment and Head of Planning and Design. Under time pressure, and with the guidance of leading industry experts, students had to pitch their ideas and submit their plans before then presenting them back to the rest of the group. The creativity and innovation of the students really shone through on the day, and they benefitted from a valuable insight into an exciting career that helped to develop their key employability skills.
