Speakers for School ran an online workshop entitled ‘Working in NHS’. This vitual seminar introduced a selection of our Year 10 students into different careers in the NHS, with health workers from different job roles explaining their job, what they do and how they got there. Our students had the opportunity to learn about a multitude of careers pathways they could take in our NHS as well as ask some valuable questions about life as a medical professional.
Psychology students also got the chance to participate in a careers event hosted by NE1CAN where they got to hear from numerous professionals working within mental health roles in the NHS, the challenges of their job and the growing need for professional mental health support in our modern society.
