We welcomed into school Joanna Stewart from multinational professional services and accountancy firm PwC (Pricewaterhouse Coopers), to deliver a Financial Literacy session with some of our Year 9 students. Joanna gave students information about her career and also about the work of PwC. During the session, students had the opportunity to learn more about how to read a payslip in the future, including how income tax, National Insurance contributions, Pension payments and Student Loan repayments function. The session also supported students to develop essential employability skills which are a focus of every lesson in school.
