Our Year 9 Options Information Evening was a massive success. We had a fantastic turn out of pupils and parents who joined us on Wednesday evening to learn more about the options subjects available to them for next year. The pathways students choose to take now are very important ones as they will lead directly to GCSEs in subjects that will support their learning for the rest of their lives, so this was a fantastic opportunity for our children and their carers to learn more about what is involved with each course, the content and what outcomes it can lead to. It was also a great chance to speak to our careers advisor to help make informed decisions as well as our head of sixth form, Mrs Bagshaw, who was available to offer yet more advice on where the subjects they choose could take them moving into further or higher education.
Feedback for the event was very positive and we are already looking forward to our next progress evening where we can discuss pupil progress across the curriculum face-to-face with parents and carers.
