Awesome Athletes Compete for Southmoor

Last week students took part in the Sunderland School Games Athletics Competition. It was a great day, with our students really enjoying the atmosphere and while we didn’t win overall there were a lot of extremely good individual results and performances. Carter McQue came 1st in the 100m and the high jump, Lewis Dobson came 1st in the 200m and 2nd in the long jump. William Young won his 1500m race, Aaron Franklin and Jacob Waterston both excelled in their races, Amelie Jones came 1st in her 800m, and Harper Scott Cousins came 2nd in shot put. The day was a huge success and all of the participants were an absolute credit to the school.
