Starting at Southmoor!

Last Monday we welcomed Year 6 pupils and their parents into Southmoor for our special transition evening. This was a chance to learn more about what’s in store for September, gather more information on life at Southmoor and meet form tutors as well as peers for the first time.

The following day we then welcomed back nearly 250 Year 6 pupils for our end of year transition programme. Over two jam-packed days pupils from feeder primaries across the city enjoyed a full timetable designed to give them a taste of what life will be like for them in Year 7 from September. After a welcoming assembly by Mrs Maw our future pupils had the chance to explore the school, try out some of the subjects they will enjoy next year and meet their form tutors as well as enjoy various team building activities to help them make new friends along the way!

We look forward to seeing some of them again at our Summer School in August before their very first day as full Southmoor students in September.

If you missed the transition evening, or simply want  a recap on some of the information shared over it, you can find some very useful information on our Year 6 transition page.
